Use What You Have to Open Your Creativity

Sometimes what you need
is right in front of you.
On your work desk that is...

Post cards for a mail art swap
made from leftover bits of
paint splattered paper from
my workdesk, scraps of
cut up collage, washi tape
(can never have too much
of that), rubber stamps
and colored pencils.

Leftovers and what we think we
might throw out often spark
creative thinking when we SEE
those materials in a new way.

Look down, what do you SEE?

Art Journaling feeds me
with little bits of colorful
goodness, always, every
time I play my horizons
get wider, my gaze travels
farther and I expand.

A little glitter never hurts either.

Intuitive Journaling - Barb's Journal

My most lovely student Barbara
recently constructed a sewn
journal of her own to work in
after many sessions of intuitive
journaling, painting, making,
and creating.  I wanted to share it
with you here:

Her willingness to speak in her own authentic voice
and go with the flow makes me smile right now as
I think of her.

We spoke about the feeling
of greatest aliveness and what
that means energetically.

She flies on butterfly wings and I am
honored that she has chosen to share her
creative journey with me.
